Description

  • Supports normal brain function*
  • Helps red blood cell formation *
  • Aids in the prevention of anemia*

Vitamin B12 is important for metabolism. It helps in the formation of red blood cells, production of energy and in the maintenance of the central nervous system. B12 also supports the normal brain function.

While vitamins can be obtained from the diet, B and C vitamins are easily lost or eliminated during cooking or processing. Vegetarians should take special care to get adequate B vitamins because dietary sources of B vitamins are mostly found in foods of animal origin.

Many people over age 50 lose the ability to absorb vitamin B12 from foods. Moreover people who have had gastrointestinal surgery or have digestive disorders may not absorb vitamin B12 adequately.

The eight vitamins that make up the B complex are water soluble, meaning the body does not store excess amounts, with the exception of vitamin B12, which is stored in the liver. Rather, unused B vitamins are excreted through urine. This means you need a continuous supply of the B vitamins from the diet.

  • Ingredients

    Vitaminb12 (as Methylcobalamin), Gelatin Capsules

    Suggested Use

Adults and children 12 or more years of age, take 1 capsule daily with a meal or as directed by a health professional.

Note: B vitamins are best taken with a meal. Without food, the vitamins are not well absorbed by the body and will simply pass through the digestive system unused. They are best taken in the morning or at lunchtime, either with or immediately after a meal.

Note: Stimulating vitamins such as B6 and B12 should be avoided late in the afternoon and evening.

Store at room temperature. Keep out of reach of children.
